Injustices Abound
This is an interesting time in this remote area. Folks who
run cattle are separating the spring birthed steers from their mamas and their
cries are hauntingly painful to listen to, knowing full well how their
heartaches are as deep and soulful as our own when we lose what matters
centrally to our very being. They cry into the nighttime until falling
asleep, no doubt weary from their hopelessness that bears no end.
Then to know that they will be sold at auction and butchered.
It
all breaks my heart and I want everyone to abstain from beef just from having
to feel the depth of their own pain. Perhaps here and abroad--in the
Amazon, we can accomplish surrendering the fires, the devastation and the
plaintiff cries of these domesticated creatures if we were all to feel the
emotional grieving we put upon them. The world is such a mad place to live.
Injustices abound.
