autumn splendour

a painting arises
halfway greens
splattered upon the canvas

wind swishes segmented colours
sideways, up and down
elongating transforming splashes

once verdant, now a kaleidoscope
of autumn in its kodachrome splendor
gone the lush green monochrome

now rich in splats and swipes
soon fully ripened, their tipping points
stealing our breath sharply

Unspent Feelings

The day with unspent feelings. A full Aries moon tugging at them.  She rose in the dry autumn eve, a headlight, haunting the sky, drawing all to the surface in her light.

The early hard freeze turned a changing coloured scape to brown.  Lifeless foliage, soggy apples, hungrily supped upon by bees.

That forgotten pumpkin among the withered vines, softened, rotting when teen temperatures hit yet again.

Living

I live on a street
where people walk by
I see their parts and pieces
through stands of trees and bushes

their mass though bits of movement
on scattered beams--
rays of reflecting light
tell me so

ants, move slowly to and from their hill
with a certainty
known to them but
a mystery to me

those who go to the ocean shore
to the waves and crashing surf and
more perhaps,
and back again

I saw a blind woman walk this way
and again in the later afternoon sun
tap, tap tap-another mystery
I hear a clipped laughter like a movie

that reels onward with gaiety and then, gone
an audience of the audience who seek,  look
and return
a movie always in the making

Who Am I ?

I am force, I am life
the very mystery that draws
breath without nary a thought

my mind is not my body
my body is not my mind
neither define whom I am

I am force, I am life
the mystery and wonder
that makes me Divine in

my own individual way, always
with all answers within
capable of understanding truth

in the silence between each
breath that gives me life
held in sacred holy space

I am whole, I am life
in my humble sacred being
my light, my force, is life

Cellphones—Wireless Exposure, Health and Safety

Do you know that using your cell phone could make you ill? That when you make a call, it emits invisible microwave radiation frequencies (MRF) both when sending and receiving signals? And that how long you use it and where you carry it on your body can result in lower sperm count and viability, infertility and testicular or breast cancer? And that your child’s exposure in utero has been linked to increased rates of autism.

In 2011 the World Health Organization classified wireless technologies a Class 2B Human Carcinogen. Since then, three additional health studies show irrefutable evidence to recommend changing the classification to a Class 1 Human Carcinogen.

Common symptoms of MRF exposure are headaches, insomnia, tinnitis (ringing in the ears), chronic pain and fatigue, depression, nosebleeds, elevated blood sugar levels, heart palpitations, poor short-term memory, and difficulty concentrating.

Wireless devices include Bluetooth, wireless baby monitors, cell phones, laptops, cordless phones/base stations, ipads, tablets, fitbit watches, wireless mouse and desktop computers, printer, TV and thermostat remote controls, garage door openers, just to name a few.

Tips on how to more safely protect against MRF from wireless devices and wireless homes and offices:
•• Use your cellphone on speakerphone or with an air tube headset
•• Keep phone in airplane mode or turned off when carrying on your body, at home, and next to your bed.
•• Turn off the wireless router at night and turn on only when using
•• Use a corded landline phone
•• Use an Ethernet cable to your wireless devices

There is no safe level of exposure to MRF! Each exposure is accumulative. MRF is a carcinogenic toxin. And can cause cancer with repeated exposure.

I Had a Farm

I once had a farm in the wilds of north eastern New Mexico where I raised the most beautiful birds--chickens, turkeys, and guineas.  People who bought my eggs declared them the best ever.

The honeybees had top bar hives that I built from downed lumber off the property...Ponderosa pine lumber hives, sealed with their beeswax.  I chose options that created as stress-free an existence as possible for these bees, using flower essences to mist them rather than smoke.  I left appropriate stores in the fall for their healthy survival during the winter. I welcomed bee stings, recognizing their immune stimulant action.  I enjoyed this interdependent system with the bees.

Four large vegetable and fruit gardens and a subterranean greenhouse produced food for my family year 'round.  It was a challenge and joy.  No goats--no cows--but I built instead--curved dry-stack rock stairs, walls and heat sinks. and paramagnetic towers to draw in the rainfall.  I gathered the basalt and sandstone from along side country roads.

Living on raw land was a healing experience.  I love Jung's comments about Nature and our oneness with Nature.  I understood the concept of our separation from Nature resulting in our societal neuroses.  I healed from my inner core, outwardly as I sensed the time of year or day through the birds, their location on the land, the stars, and the moon location as it waxed and waned.   I sensed the storms and incoming heat and cold fronts. The oneness with Nature—there is nothing else like it.

Just writing this makes me melancholy thinking about those nurturing, simple days that ran one into the next as leaves sprouted, burst into full magnificence, then turned into shades of New Mexico radiance that honoured such a bounty of waning autumn beauty. .

I appreciate coming into one's fullest essence in my maturity—I have blossomed most recently as well.  I find that the return to the water's edge has been my journey to my feminine.. Awakened in the utmost of ways.
